There is no single “best” money maker for every new account. The strongest start is a stack: take the guaranteed coins, align your hourly Task Master objective with Slayer or a skill, keep valuable supplies for the Trading Post, and use instant NPC sales only when you need cash now.
This guide separates coins from account value. Slayer points, Scrap Paper, vote points, AFK points, keys and upgrade items can be worth more than a small coin drop, but they are not spendable GP until you use or sell the reward they unlock.
Checked against Arkenor’s starter package, achievement rewards, skill actions, Slayer masters, Task Master pools, drop tables, shops and Trading Post rules on 24 August 2026.
The short version

Know what kind of value you are earning
A clean bank comes from using the right exit for each reward. Think in four buckets before you sell anything.
Direct coins
Starter cash, daily rewards, votes, achievements, pickpocketing, coin drops and some Task Master rolls go straight into your coin stack.
Player-market value
Resources, consumables and duplicate gear are usually worth checking at the Trading Post before accepting an NPC price.
Shop currencies
Slayer points, Scrap Paper, vote points, marks and AFK tokens buy progression. Spend them deliberately; they are not GP.
Account value
XP lamps, keys, scrolls, supplies and unlocks may increase future earnings more than selling them for one quick payout.
Claim the easy money before you grind
Arkenor gives new accounts several guaranteed or low-friction rewards. Missing these makes every early method feel slower than it is.

1. Finish account setup
Completing the tutorial grants a standard starter package with 300,000 coins, food, runes and a double-XP scroll. Treat the 300k as working capital: buy only what unlocks faster kills or a productive skill loop.
2. Take the calendar and starter achievements
The current daily calendar starts with 250,000 coins. Collecting a daily completes the starter Dailyscape achievement, which can be claimed for another 1,000,000 coins plus other rewards. Saving one preset also completes a starter achievement worth 1,000,000 coins. The Collector starter achievement adds another 1m after five valid collection-log slots.
Achievement rewards are not automatic: open the achievement interface and click the completed entry—or use claim all. Before leaving home, also check the Referral NPC for any currently configured welcome reward; referral codes can change, so treat the result as a one-time extra rather than guaranteed GP.
3. Claim every validated vote
Open the voting page with ::vote, then claim with ::voted. Each validated vote awards 1,000,000 coins, doubled during the server's first-week vote event. You also receive vote points and timed XP and damage boosts, while a five-day streak adds a Vote Key and Mystery Box.
4. Complete the Well of Goodwill starter loop
Once the claims above put at least 2.5m in your inventory, donate 2,500,000 coins to the Well of Goodwill. That completes the starter Giver achievement; manually claim its 5,000,000-coin reward for a net 2.5m gain before its other rewards. With one normal vote, this route leaves roughly 6.05m.
5. Check Task Master before choosing a grind
Task Master generates hourly combat and skilling work alongside a longer combat task. Its easy pool can roll 1m coins, while every finished task chooses two rewards from its difficulty pool. The coin roll is not guaranteed—treat it as a bonus for doing work you already wanted to do.
6. Use the built-in shortcuts
Clicking a skill in the Skills tab teleports you to its training area. The server also exposes direct commands for the two most useful beginner hubs.
7. Respect the market timer
New accounts cannot trade or use the Trading Post for their first 15 minutes of playtime. Gather, train and organise your bank during that window. Ironman modes cannot use the Trading Post at all, so their route prioritises direct coins, useful supplies and the Sell Me Store.
Slayer is the best all-round account builder
Slayer layers monster drops, Scrap Paper, Slayer XP, points, streak bonuses, achievements and pass progress onto the same kills. It is the safest long-term recommendation for a combat-minded beginner.

Start here
Beginner master
Available immediately through the Assignment option and pays 10 Slayer points per completed task.
- Tasks include cows, rock crabs, crawling hands, chaos druids and moss giants.
- Use the free task teleport shown with the assignment.
- Keep the streak alive for bonus points.
Level 40 master
Pays 20 points per task and expands the pool to stronger, more valuable monsters.
- Introduces enemies such as ankous, fire giants and blue dragons.
- Better supply drops support Prayer, Herblore and combat.
- Use earned gear upgrades before selling your only copy.
Konar & advanced Slayer
Konar tasks can roll Brimstone keys; Wilderness Slayer can roll Larran’s keys and Blood Money.
- More reward layers, but stronger monsters or added risk.
- Use after your stats, supplies and teleports are comfortable.
- Never take gear into the Wilderness that you cannot replace.
The profitable Slayer loop
- Assign
Type ::slayer, take a level-appropriate task and use its provided destination.
- Collect
Pick up coins, noted supplies, herbs, runes, gear and Scrap Paper whenever the monster’s table rolls it.
- Complete
The beginner master awards 10 points per task. Ten-task streaks add a 40-point bonus at the first two masters.
- Claim
Five completed Slayer tasks finish the starter Slayer achievement for a Slayer reward, a Slayer chest and point-doubling scrolls.
- Reinvest
Buy real upgrades from the Slayer Store first; list spare gear and resources after the Trading Post timer.
Turn skilling into coins and stacked rewards
Skilling becomes strongest when one action advances several systems: sellable output, Task Master progress, achievements and a useful level unlock.

| Method | Beginner loop | Where value comes from | Early utility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thieving | Pickpocket a Man from level 1 for direct coin rolls of 750, 1,000 or 1,250. Move through stalls as levels rise. | Direct pickpocket coins; stall goods accepted by Sigmund; certificate rolls; Master Farmers at level 38 supply herb seeds. | |
| Fishing & Cooking | Catch food, cook it, then keep a supply for combat and sell the surplus. | Player demand for food, NPC fallback, 500-action achievements, and easy tasks such as 50 lobsters or 50 swordfish cooked. | |
| Mining & Smithing | Mine the best ore you can process, smelt bars, and sell whichever stage has stronger demand. | Ores, gems, bars and equipment; Task Master begins at 100 ores and 50 bars; both skills have 500-action achievements. | |
| Woodcutting & Fletching | Cut oak, willow or maple logs; sell logs or turn them into bows when a fletching task is active. | Logs and bows, paired skill XP, 50-log/50-bow easy tasks, and 500-action achievements. | |
| Farming & Herblore | Buy starter tools and low seeds at the Farming Shop, harvest herbs, then turn useful herbs into potions. | Herbs, seeds and potions for players; Master Farmer seeds; achievements at 250 harvests and 250 potions; Prayer-potion tasks start at 10. | |
| Runecrafting | Buy noted essence from the Skilling Store, craft runes and sell or keep combat supplies. | Rune demand plus Task Master targets beginning at 100 runes. Great when your task and market demand match. | |
| Crafting | Cut gems from Mining or drops, then move into jewellery and dragonhide products. | Finished equipment, cut gems and a Task Master target of 100 gems. Compare raw and finished prices before processing. | |
| Hunter | Progress into chinchompas and other stackable resources, keeping valuable catches for the player market. | Combat-supply demand and collection progress. Better as a developed skiller than as minute-one cash. | |
| Agility | Run the Draynor rooftop from level 1, especially when Task Master asks for 10 laps. | Marks, task rewards and player-saleable amylase; 10 marks buy 100 crystals, while the 50-lap achievement awards 100 marks. | |
| AFK zone | Use ::afk at any level and interact with an activity. Most skill-XP actions require level 50, but the AFK point loop itself does not. | AFK points buy keys, boxes, lamps and unlocks. This is slow background value rather than quick starter GP. |
Thieving pays best through direct coins and bonus rolls
Pickpocketing a Man is the predictable lane because every success gives 750, 1,000 or 1,250 coins. Stalls are better for XP, Task Master progress and their chance at Upgrade certificates. Sigmund accepts the core stall goods, but player sell payouts use the server’s steep generic shop discount—not the prices displayed in his stock file—so treat that sale as a small liquidation floor.
Farming turns a small seed into noted stock
The Farming Shop supplies tools and low-level seeds, while the Farming Wizard links the main herb patches. Herb harvesting starts at seven pulls before bonuses and produces noted herbs; growth is accelerated on Arkenor, so rotate patches and sell useful herbs or finished potions to players instead of dumping them into a generic shop.
Cash out gathering bonus drops correctly
Thieving stalls, Fishing, Mining and Woodcutting can roll Upgrade certificates while you train. Certificates dissolve for 10k, 25k, 50k or 250k through the upgrader system; Mining and Woodcutting artifacts also carry fixed dissolve values. Compare any tradeable market value first, then use ::upgrader for the guaranteed floor.
Follow the Shooting Star when it fits
The level-1 Shooting Star lasts about 30 minutes and yields Stardust for skilling outfits, tools and magic secateurs. Use ::star; the command warns you before any Wilderness destination. This is an upgrade-currency route, not direct GP.
Let combat training pay for its own upgrades
Raw coin drops are only one line of a monster’s value. Supplies, keys, clues, gear, Scrap Paper and achievement progress usually matter more.

Low-level monsters
Chickens can roll a 2,500-coin drop and rock crabs can roll 1,000–5,000 coins, making them simple training targets. Rock crabs are also available on the beginner Slayer list, so the better version of this method is always to kill them on assignment. Chaos druids and similar low combat targets add herbs and seeds that feed Farming and Herblore.
Scrap Paper improves many drop tables
Many standard combat tables include Scrap Paper. Click the paper to open its shop and treat each roll as a rebate on combat. A monster with modest GP drops can still be worthwhile when it is progressing Slayer, a Task Master objective and the Scrap shop at once.
Barrows is the natural bridge
Once your combat stats and food supply are comfortable, Barrows gives chest coins, runes and tradeable armour. It also appears throughout Task Master and has its own achievement path. Keep a usable set; sell duplicate pieces on the Trading Post.
Bosses and events are opportunistic upgrades
Boss points, keys, collection slots and event rewards can become major account value, but consistency beats lottery drops for a new account. Move up when your kills are quick, your supply cost is controlled and you understand the death or Wilderness risk.
PvM caskets
Even chickens can roll a PvM casket. Opening one guarantees a 50k–65k coin stack plus an item, with a chance at another 100k–150k and a second item.
Pest Control
A victory after dealing more than 35 portal damage pays 5k–35k coins, five base points and pass XP. It can start with one player; resource packs provide a later cash-out.
Hespori
Deal at least 100 damage, then harvest the event for three Hespori keys. Its chest supplies large resource stacks and includes a guaranteed coin roll; use ::worldevent.
Crystal & Brimstone
The Crystal Chest always returns a dragonstone plus a reward; its 10-open achievement returns 10 keys and extras. Brimstone keys come from Konar. Preview working tables with ::mbox.
Volcano & Crystal Tree
Both start at level 1 and generate Blood Money value. The Volcano's volatile minerals convert at Rasolo; the Crystal Tree awards Blood Money directly. Spend it on useful or tradeable shop gear, bank often and risk only disposable gear.
Green dragons & Revenants
Green dragons combine hides, bones and coin rolls; low Revenants guarantee small coin and ether drops with valuable rare tables. These are upgrades only after the safe routes fund replacements.
Outlast
The scheduled tournament accepts any level and supplies the competition loadout. Placing awards Upgrade certificates and tournament points, making it a zero-gear opportunity rather than guaranteed income.
Clues & collection log
Gathering and combat can produce clues; 15 caskets have an achievement reward. Keep filling valid collection slots—the first five unlock the 1m Collector claim.
Never grind past a repeatable reward
Daily and hourly systems are strongest when they ride on top of your normal route. Check them at login, then avoid changing plans for a reward that does not fit your account.
Daily calendar
The current cycle starts at 250k coins and continues through keys, scrolls, lamps and other account value. The first collection also completes Dailyscape.
Task Master
Complete the combat or skilling assignment that matches your plan. Each finished task selects two rewards; coin rolls scale from 1m in easy to 5m in elite. Tasks are not level-filtered and the daily pool is boss-heavy, so skip bad fits.
Achievements
Daily, preset, collection and 25k upgrade-point starters each include 1m coins. One successful item upgrade awards 5m plus ten 250k certificates. Completed rewards must be claimed manually.
Voting
Use ::vote, then ::voted. Every validated vote pays 1m coins—or 2m during the server's first-week event—plus points and timed boosts. A five-day streak adds a Vote Key and Mystery Box.
Loyalty chest & Corpse Cart
Every non-idle hour unlocks both home claims. The chest can roll 50k–700k coins or supplies, materials, equipment and boxes; the cart supplies useful bone stacks.
Bonus scroll
Every two active hours, claim a random scroll from the round building west of home. Use it when the boost improves future earnings; do not value it as guaranteed GP.
Trivia
When a trivia question appears, answer with ::answer. The first three correct players receive trivia points and a random coin, supply, equipment or box reward.
AFK points
The AFK point loop has no level gate, although most skill-XP objects need level 50. The store includes keys, boxes, lamps and utility unlocks for slow, low-attention progress.
Battle pass
Voting, Slayer, Pest Control and other normal activities add pass progress. Treat the current track as a free layer and inspect it in game; seasonal rewards rotate.
Sell each item in the right place
The fastest way to lose early wealth is to confuse an instant sale with a fair sale. Use this order for every unfamiliar drop.

Check its use
Keep your first meaningful gear upgrade, key, scroll or supply unlock. Future earning power has value.
Check the market
After 15 minutes, inspect Trading Post listings and the guide price before creating a player offer.
Take instant coins
If demand is weak or you need cash now, use the Sell Me Store as a discounted fallback.
Trading Post
Standard accounts can access the Trading Post after 15 minutes. It uses coins, supports up to six player offers and stores sale proceeds in a coin balance. Use it for resources, consumables, duplicate equipment and other tradeable drops. A guide price is a reference—not proof that another player will buy instantly—and the seller must be online when a purchase is made.
The ::pg price guide is explicitly unofficial. Compare it with current listings, list a small test quantity, and adjust slowly instead of treating one static number as guaranteed market value.
Sell Me Store
At the skilling area, the Sell Me Store opens the Sell Me Anything shop. It buys tradeable items for coins but at a heavy discount to their configured shop value. This is excellent for clearing low-demand clutter and poor for rare or player-demanded loot.
High Alchemy
At 55 Magic, High Alchemy converts an item into 60% of its configured shop value for five fire runes and one nature rune. That is usually a better deterministic floor than the generic Sell Me Anything payout, but current Trading Post demand should still be checked first.
Ironman
Ironman modes cannot use the Trading Post, but they can access the Sell Me Anything shop. Keep resources that remove future grinds, sell true surplus for coins and lean more heavily on direct rewards, Thieving, achievements and Task Master.
Three routes for your first real bank
Choose the account you want to become. All three plans start with the same free claims and diverge only after your setup is paid for.
- Build the 6.05m opening bankTake the local claims and one normal vote, then complete the 2.5m-to-5m Well achievement loop.
- Start beginner Slayer immediatelyUse ::slayer, choose the Assignment option and take the provided task teleport instead of camping random monsters.
- Complete five tasksBank drops, Scrap Paper and points; claim the starter Slayer achievement.
- Move to the level-40 masterUpgrade only when kills stay quick and supply costs remain low.
- Transition into BarrowsKeep one useful setup and list duplicate armour or resources at the Trading Post.
- Claim the opening rewardsComplete the Well loop, then use the coins for tools and inputs rather than cosmetics.
- Read the hourly skilling taskPick a paired chain: Fish/Cook, Mine/Smith, Woodcut/Fletch or Farm/Herblore.
- Sell only the surplusKeep food, potions and runes needed for later progression; list the excess after 15 minutes.
- Finish the first skill achievementsTargets at 250 or 500 actions add lamps, tokens and boxes to the resource pile.
- Layer in AFK pointsThe point loop works now; most matching skill-XP activities open at level 50.
- Take every direct coin claimTutorial, daily, vote, Well, preset and starter achievements form the early cash reserve.
- Use Thieving for liquid coinsPickpocketing pays directly while Master Farmers unlock seed supply at level 38.
- Run Slayer for self-sufficient suppliesKeep herbs, runes, food, bars, clues and all first-copy upgrades.
- Stack Task Master and achievementsRandom reward pools replace the player market as a major source of useful items.
- Sell only true duplicatesThe Sell Me Anything shop provides coins, but every resource is harder to replace without trading.
Avoid the expensive beginner mistakes
Earning is only half the job. These habits stop a promising first bank from disappearing.
NPC-selling rare drops
The Sell Me Store is deliberately discounted. Check progression use and the Trading Post before selling anything unfamiliar.
Counting currencies as coins
Scrap, Slayer points, vote points and AFK points are valuable, but they cannot fund a coin purchase until converted through their shop or reward.
Grinding without a task
Random kills or skilling actions miss free Task Master, Slayer, achievement and pass progress. Stack systems whenever possible.
Breaking a Slayer streak
Streak milestones grant large point bonuses. Finish manageable assignments instead of resetting for a slightly faster task.
Selling your only upgrade
A stronger weapon, better tool or supply unlock increases every later hour. Keep the first copy and sell duplicates.
Taking avoidable Wilderness risk
Wilderness Slayer and bosses can be rewarding, but never risk more than the expected gain or bring gear you cannot replace.
Assuming a guide price is a buyer
Trading Post references help price an offer; actual demand decides when it sells. Adjust slowly instead of panic-selling.
Gambling the starter bank
Coin flip has no progression output and cannot create wealth for everyone. Protect your first capital and build repeatable income.
New-player money questions
What is the fastest guaranteed money on a fresh standard account?
The tutorial, current coin daily, Dailyscape and preset achievement total 2.55m without trading. One normal validated vote brings that to 3.55m; donate 2.5m to the Well and manually claim the 5m Giver achievement to finish near 6.05m. Extra validated votes and the first-week vote event increase it.
Should I start with Slayer or Thieving?
Choose Thieving if you need immediate liquid coins with no combat setup. Choose Slayer if you want the stronger long-term account: it stacks loot, points, Scrap Paper, achievements and combat progression.
Which skill is best for money?
Farming/Herblore and Fishing/Cooking have durable consumable value; Mining/Smithing and Woodcutting/Fletching are easy paired loops. The best choice at login is the one matching your Task Master objective and current Trading Post demand.
Where do I sell skilling items?
For standard accounts, price-check them at the Trading Post after the 15-minute restriction. For immediate coins—or on Ironman—use the Sell Me Store at the skilling area, understanding that its payout is heavily discounted.
Is AFK training a good beginner money maker?
It is accessible immediately and earns AFK points rather than coins; most of its skill-XP activities require level 50. Use it for slow background value after establishing a faster active method.
Are votes, keys and boxes “money”?
Votes are both money and account value: every validated vote pays 1m coins, doubled during the server's first-week event, alongside points and boosts. Keys and boxes are random account value; do not quote their contents as guaranteed GP.
When should I move from low-level Slayer to Barrows or bosses?
Move when kills are consistent, food and potion costs are controlled, and losing or repairing your setup would not wipe your bank. Barrows is a natural bridge because it adds coins, runes, armour, Task Master and achievement progress.
One last rule
Stack rewards, then sell the duplicate.
Claim the free coins, complete the Well loop, check Task Master, choose Slayer or a paired skill, and price-check the result. That loop will build a healthier bank than chasing one lucky drop.
